OK so I'm in agreement with the fact that these 'racist' crimes were violent, and such a disgrace. BUT; I don't see these crimes racially motivated. It just so happens that young Indian males are of a persuasion that lends themselves to opportunistic behaviour.

Another point to mention; China's apparent abhorrence of these crimes to the point where they're considering abandoning student exchange services. This coming from the country who condemns Victoria on the eve of the 20th anniversary of that horrific attack of its own citizens in Tiannimen Square.

So you say, 'yes but that was 20 years ago; a lot has changed since then.' But has it? The fact that the government is still downplaying it (restricting Internet access and such) is something to be said. Even the knowledge that most younger citizens don't even know the importance of the date: June 4th. Though they have to be credited for something; they did a damn fine job at covering it up.

Meh. whatevs. my rant. more like a blog. but yeah. call me racist if you like. i don't really care.
